How This Works
Short version: we are not a mold company. We publish what we can find out about mold work in Rochester, and we pass enquiries to one local contractor.
What we do
We research and publish local information about mold remediation in Rochester and Monroe County - what it costs, why it happens here, and what the state licensing framework requires. When someone fills in a form or leaves a voicemail, we pass those details to one independent local contractor.
What we do not do
- We do not perform remediation, testing or assessment. We are not licensed to, and we would not want to be.
- We do not sell your details to multiple companies. Each enquiry goes to one contractor.
- We do not rank or recommend contractors, and we do not publish reviews. We have no basis for that judgement and inventing one would be dishonest.
How we make money
The contractor pays us a flat monthly fee for the enquiries we send. Not a commission, not a percentage of the job. That matters to you for one reason: we have no financial interest in your job being large.
Because it is a flat fee, we do not benefit from an expensive quote. If the honest answer is that a downspout extension solves your problem, that is a good outcome for everyone.
If you would rather find a contractor yourself, the New York Department of Labor publishes the register of licensed mold contractors. We would rather you hire well than hire through us.
